Suicide
It is felt that a person who is contemplating suicide is in so much pain that they find it unbearable. They feel that they are a burden and that there is no other solution to end the pain.

Individuals who suffer from anxiety disorders (general anxiety disorder or social anxiety disorder) may exhibit fearfulness, worry, and may also suffer from panic attacks.

Depression is a mental illness that affects someone's mood or the way they feel. People suffering from depression may have a loss of interest in things that they used to be interested in.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a mental health condition that is a result of a traumatic experience whether it is experienced first hand or by being a witness to the event.

A person with panic disorder experiences panic attacks. These attacks are sudden and usually last for a short period of time.

How do you determine the value of the tax receipt?
The value of the tax receipt is determined by what is done with the vehicle once donated. All donations qualify for a tax receipt; if a vehicle is resold in its current condition the tax receipt will be for the full sale amount, otherwise the tax receipt will be for the scrap value of the vehicle.
On occasion if a vehicle is of a high value and in excellent condition an appraisal may be necessary to determine the value.

A car donation to Mental Health Cars® is a donation to mental health awareness. We are able to remove any used car, truck or van and provide you with free pick up. The proceeds of your car donation go directly to Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).
